What a Friend I Have in Jesus... My Lord and Savior

There is a lot of talk about Jesus being our friend, and yes He is.  Who else but a friend would die for us?  But with that friendship there are responsibilities and that includes reverence and respect for our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  Yes, God loves us unconditionally and runs to us when we run to Him.  But that doesn't mean we are all buds, we can ignore Him, and friend Him when we are lonely, in trouble, sad…….  God is not your pal, your bud, with a FaceBook page and a Twitter account; He doesn't have to use a camera to remember things and Jesus doesn't need to know the future; He is already there.  Heaven isn't a carnival and the throne room isn't a bouncy house.  God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, three in one, should be respected, loved, rejoiced over, spoken to, considered, acknowledged, worshiped  praised, glorified, honored, lifted up, exalted, prayed to, obeyed, trusted, thanked, appreciated.   There are some preachers and teachers out there that are taking God much too lightly.   Listen to the Word.  God already wrote it all for us, there is no need to have an interpretation of His word.  His Word is the Word.
